This enables the sales team to make credible commitments and build long-term customer relationships based on service and reliability.You’ll join a practical and commercially focused business with an experienced Queensland leadership team and strong operational support.The opportunityReporting to the Queensland Sales Manager, you’ll manage strategic customer relationships throughout Townsville and the broader North Queensland market.Your focus will be on understanding customers’ current and future project requirements, building relationships with decision-makers and identifying opportunities to increase hire volume and share of wallet.Key responsibilities include:Managing and growing an established portfolio of strategic accountsBuilding relationships across site, procurement, operational and senior management teamsIdentifying upcoming projects, forward equipment requirements and account-growth opportunitiesDeveloping account plans, preparing proposals and negotiating commercially sustainable agreementsProtecting key customer relationships and addressing account risks earlyWorking closely with operations to ensure customer commitments are deliveredMaintaining accurate account, pipeline and activity informationAbout youYou are an experienced B2B account manager who combines strong customer relationships with practical commercial judgement.You’ll bring:A proven record of retaining and growing valuable B2B accountsRelevant customer relationships across the regionExperience within equipment, civil construction, transport, utilities, mining services or another project-focused industryA practical understanding of plant, machinery or technical equipment solutionsStrong account planning, negotiation and relationship-management capabilityA self-directed working style, current driver’s licence and flexibility to undertake regional travel and overnight staysDirect equipment hire experience will be highly regarded but is not essential. Candidates from related industries with transferable relationships, technical sales capability and strong account-management results are encouraged to apply.Working arrangementsSuccess in this position requires a strong face-to-face presence.
