To find out more about our work, please visit: www.learningtowork.org.ukAbout the roleThe Key Worker & Youth Facilitator will provide practical, personalised and motivational support to young people, particularly those who are NEET, have SEND or are at risk of becoming NEET. Working one-to-one and in small groups, you will build trusted relationships, identify strengths, aspirations and barriers, develop individual action plans and support young people towards positive and sustainable outcomes. You will also deliver engaging workshops, events and activities in mainstream schools, developing employability skills, confidence, aspirations and awareness of the world of work and future progression opportunities.ResponsibilitiesBuild trusted, professional relationships with young people, providing effective one-to-one and small-group support.Identify strengths, aspirations and barriers, supporting young people to develop and progress Individual Action Plans and move towards education, training or employment.Provide practical employability support, including CVs, applications, interview preparation, confidence, communication and workplace skills.Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive workshops, activities and events, adapting delivery and resources to participants’ age, ability and individual needs.Work with schools, employers, families and partner organisations to support young people’s progression, including referrals where appropriate, and undertake Health & Safety visits for extended work experience placements.Maintain accurate and confidential records, tracking engagement, progress, outcomes and destinations, and contribute to monitoring, evaluation and funder reporting.Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and recognising, recording and reporting concerns appropriately.Work collaboratively across Learning to Work, contribute to wider activities as required, and undertake relevant training and professional development, including IOSH Managing Safely training.Location & commitmentsPermanent Full time: 35 hours per week. Part-time and/or Term-time working may also be considered.Salary: Starting from FTE £27,500 per annum, depending on experience.Core hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Some flexibility will be required.·      Office base in Slough, with flexible working available; regular face-to-face delivery is essential.·      Regular travel across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and West London is required. ·      Appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and appropriate safer recruitment checks.
