Kitchen & Laundry Technician – Job DescriptionPosition: Kitchen & Laundry Technician

Department: Engineering

Location: Radisson Beach Resort Palm Jumeirah, DubaiKey ResponsibilitiesCarry out preventive and corrective maintenance of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, combi ovens, fryers, grills, cooking ranges, dishwashers and related equipment.Maintain and troubleshoot industrial washing machines, dryers, ironing/pressing machines and associated laundry equipment.Inspect and maintain electrical, mechanical, gas/LPG, steam and refrigeration systems related to kitchen and laundry equipment.Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimise operational downtime.Conduct regular inspections and identify potential equipment faults before breakdown.Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports and preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS/BMS or similar systems.Follow all health, safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements applicable to hotel operations.Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings and electrical/mechanical schematics.Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Culinary, F&B, Housekeeping and Laundry teams.Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, safe and organised condition.Assist the Engineering team with other technical duties as required.Qualifications & ExperienceTechnical Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration Engineering or a related field.Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in kitchen/laundry equipment maintenance.Previous experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment is highly preferred.In-depth knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Hands-on experience with laundry equipment and industrial machinery.Familiarity with HACCP standards and kitchen hygiene protocols.Basic computer literacy and experience using CMMS/BMS maintenance systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Good communication and teamwork skills.Proactive, reliable and capable of working with minimal supervision.Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
