Apply & track with Apply EdgeLearning and Development Manager:The role of a L&D Manager is to support the objectives of the business and the development of the Training Plan by working with the relevant stakeholders to agree learning and development requirements at a holistic level. Then to Identify and complete training needs analysis at function or individual level, develop and deliver learning and development programmes and co-ordinate activities. To provide training expertise to aid the development of onshore employees. All training deliverables must be aligned to the approved Training Plan.To be able to react to new or amended Learning and Development needs as business priorities change or new business requirements emerge. Ensure HCL IBS is equipped to meet regulatory requirements with regards to training and competence across each business area. Provide support to other members of the Learning and Development team in developing and delivering training as required. Support management with appropriate management information reporting as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver learning and development programmes to meet the needs, as identified and defined/ requested by the business and as reflected in the Training Plan.
- Offer a high level of advisory/consultative advice to managers across the business.
- Proactively endeavour to ensure that the Training Plan and agreed amendments to it are aligned to the ongoing improvement of competency within IBS the competencies of the organisation to the development and delivery of the training provision.
- Create/manage appropriate training evaluation and measurement for training provided.
- Design, develop and deliver appropriate learning and development solutions as identified within the business.
- To review and approve offshore training plans to ensure that these are aligned to onshore training objectives as set out in the Training Plan
- Agree performance standards and targets with the Reporting Manager and deliver to them.
- Ensure all training rolled out across business is fully up to date with all regulatory, technical, professional and industry developments and ensure all training programmes comply with agreed risk management procedures.
- To identify and ensure satisfactory completion of any training and competency assessments and that they are carried out in a timely manner ensuring that at least the minimum competency level is achieved in the required timescales.
- Support the implementation of agreed business change through the delivery of relevant training across the business.
- Work closely with the Continuous Improvement Programme (CIP) to identify, develop and implement process improvements.
- Engage with the offshore Business centre (OBC) to ensure a consistent approach to training support and use of appropriate materials
- To assist with the production of reports and management information to the SMT in line with regular event requirements and to ensure an appropriate level of procedural documentation is maintained.
- Proactively contribute to the wider management and achievement of objectives of the business as appropriate.
- Personally develop to ensure continuing professional development and improving management ability.
- Ensure both personal and business objectives for self and team are met in line with the departmental business plan and monitor success.
- Ensure adequate knowledge transfer is maintained to eliminate single points of failure / key dependenciesSkill Requirements:Essential Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of designing and delivering soft skills and process training
- Experience of designing, delivering training and development strategy across multi-site business
- Experience within the life and pensions industry Desirable Experience:
- Working knowledge of SCORM packages and associated LMS host applications.
- Delivers projects and services within agreed deadlines and budgets.Desirable Qualifications:
