The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of MongoDB and Elasticsearch environments while supporting application teams and resolving incidents within defined SLAs.Key ResponsibilitiesMongoDB Administration & SupportMonitor MongoDB clusters, replica sets, and sharded environments.Troubleshoot database-related incidents, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues.Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.Analyze slow queries and optimize database performance.Manage indexes, collections, and schema changes.Handle capacity planning, scaling, and health checks.Support database patching and version upgrades.Elasticsearch Administration & SupportMonitor Elasticsearch clusters and ensure cluster health.Troubleshoot indexing, search performance, and shard allocation issues.Configure and optimize indices, mappings, analyzers, and templates.Perform cluster maintenance, scaling, and upgrades.Resolve data ingestion and search query performance issues.Monitor and manage Elasticsearch security, roles, and access controls.Incident & Problem ManagementHandle L2 production incidents and service requests.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.Work closely with L1 support, development, and infrastructure teams.Participate in on-call support and shift rotations.Ensure compliance with SLAs and operational procedures.Monitoring & AutomationUse monitoring tools for proactive issue identification.Develop scripts for routine operational tasks and automation.Maintain operational dashboards and alerts.DocumentationCreate and maintain SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.Document architecture, configurations, and support procedures.Required SkillsTechnical SkillsStrong hands-on experience with MongoDB Administration.Strong experience with Elasticsearch Administration and Support.Knowledge of MongoDB Replication, Sharding, Backup & Recovery.Experience in Elasticsearch Clustering, Index Management, Sharding, and Query Optimization.Understanding of Linux/Unix administration.Experience with shell scripting, Python, or automation tools.Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or similar.Understanding of REST APIs and JSON data structures.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.Database & Search Performance SkillsQuery tuning and optimization.Capacity planning and resource management.Performance analysis and troubleshooting.High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.MongoDB Certified DBA or Developer certification (preferred).Elasticsearch/Elastic Stack certification (preferred).Experience working in production support environments.Soft SkillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.Strong ownership and customer-focused mindset.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Incident Resolution within SLA.System Availability and Uptime.Reduction in recurring incidents.Successful completion of upgrades, maintenance, and DR activities.Customer and stakeholder satisfaction.Interested candidates should send their CV along with the following details:Expected salaryVisa/Work Permit statusNotice PeriodCurrent LocationNationalityCurrent Salary
