The role involves troubleshooting complex incidents, performing root-cause analysis, managing platform stability, and working closely with application, network, storage, security, and DevOps teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L3 production support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.Troubleshoot complex Linux issues involving CPU, memory, disk, filesystem, networking, processes, services, and system performance.Manage Linux patching, configuration, and lifecycle using Red Hat Satellite.Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for automation and server configuration.Administer and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters, nodes, projects/namespaces, pods, deployments, routes, services, ingress, and operators.Investigate pod failures, CrashLoopBackOff, image-pull issues, scheduling problems, node degradation, and application connectivity issues.Perform OpenShift cluster health checks, upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and capacity management.Troubleshoot container runtime, networking, DNS, storage, persistent volumes, and authentication/authorization issues.Analyze system and application logs using tools such as journalctl, rsyslog, oc, kubectl, and centralized logging platforms.Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare incident/problem-management documentation.Handle critical incidents and participate in 24x7 on-call support when required.Work with Red Hat Support and other technology vendors on complex platform issues.Automate repetitive operational tasks using Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.Support CI/CD pipelines and integrations with Git, Jenkins, GitLab, Argo CD, or similar DevOps platforms.Implement monitoring, alerting, and proactive health checks for Linux and OpenShift environments.Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and service-request management.Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-base articles.Linus Management & SupportProvide L3 support for Linux servers and resolve complex technical issues.Troubleshoot OS, performance, storage, networking, and application issues.Perform Linux server administration, patching, upgrades, and configuration.High Availability & Clustering: Design, deploy, and manage highly available (HA) Linux cluster configurations using tools like Pacemaker, Corosync, or Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) .Manage Linux patching, configuration, and lifecycle using Red Hat Satellite.Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for automation and server configuration.Monitor system health, performance, and availability.Conduct RCA for major and recurring incidents.Automate operational tasks using Shell/Bash scripting.Collaborate with application, network, database, and security teams.Support production changes, maintenance, and 24×7/on-call operations.OpenShift / KubernetesStrong production experience with Red Hat OpenShift.Good understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components.Experience troubleshooting:o Pods and containerso Deployments and Stateful Setso Services and Routeso ConfigMaps and Secretso Nodes and schedulingo Persistent Volumes/PVCso Operatorso OpenShift networkingo Image registrieso RBAC and authenticationGeneral ResponsibilitiesParticipate in ITIL-aligned incident, change, problem, and access management processes.Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.Provide L3 support and collaborate with vendors for issue resolution.Generate dashboards, reports, and recommendations on platform performance, utilization, and security.Support migration, upgrade, and transformation initiatives across cloud and virtualization platforms.Required Skills & Experience5–8+ years of experience in Linux system administration/production support.3+ years of hands-on OpenShift/Kubernetes experience.Proven experience supporting business-critical production environments.Strong incident management, troubleshooting, RCA, and stakeholder communication skills.Preferred CertificationsRed Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)OpenShift / Containers: Red Hat OpenShift Administration, CKA - OptionalITIL: ITIL 4 FoundationEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Equivalent practical experience may be considered.Interested candidates should send their CV along with the following details:Expected salaryVisa/Work Permit statusNotice PeriodCurrent Location
