Lab Assistant Engineer

Role Description:  The Lab Assistant Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for supporting daily operations within the 3D printing laboratory. This role includes preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, assisting in the setup and execution of 3D printing and prototyping processes, and monitoring print quality and material usage. The Lab Assistant Engineer will perform routine testing, document results, and support quality control procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in all projects. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and project leads, maintaining a safe and organized lab environment, and providing clear communication on project status and technical issues.Technical & 3D Printing Skills Experience with FDM 3D printing or additive manufacturing.Familiarity with materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA, TPU, and engineering polymers.Basic understanding of printing parameters such as temperature, layer height, speed, infill, and supports.Familiarity with slicing software and basic CAD software.Basic troubleshooting of mechanical or electronic systems.Experience with quality inspection and technical documentation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Willingness to learn new technologies and production processes.Essential Skills & RequirementsHands-on experience working with machines, tools, or workshop equipment.Basic knowledge of hand tools and measuring instruments.Ability to follow technical instructions and execute assigned tasks accurately.Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machine operation.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, file management, and calculator use.Good communication and reporting skills.Strong attention to detail and quality.Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial/production environment.To Apply: Please send your resume to careers@proto21.ae
