Lab Director

A third-party laboratory services company is seeking a Lab Manager or Director to oversee day-to-day operations of a microbiological testing lab. This role is responsible for quality, customers, people, and financial performance for the site, with a general manager mindset; full ownership of P&L, team development, resource optimization, and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesDrive consistent, high-quality turnaround across micro testing operationsOwn the site's financial performance, managing budget, labor, and vendor spendBuild and coach a team of supervisors, owning hiring, training, and performanceServe as the main point of contact for client-facing communication and resultsQualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in scientific field (master's is a plus)5+ years leading frontline supervisors overseeing an hourly workforceBackground in lab testing or regulated manufacturing preferredStrong communication skills, comfortable interpreting technical/regulatory material and presenting to leadership
