Lab Director of Molecular Pathology and Cytogenetics

Location: Detroit, MIBase Salary - USD $160,000/yr to $172,000/yr plus benefitsRelocation Assistance Available - Possible for ideal candidateWe are seeking a PhD-level laboratory genetics leader to oversee technical operations across Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics Laboratories within an academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory technical operations, quality, and compliance
• Oversee testing methodologies, processes, staffing, and training
• Support laboratory strategy, budgets, and performance improvement
• Collaborate with physicians, genetic counselors, and medical/administrative leadership
• Participate in teaching residents, fellows, and students

Requirements

✅ PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or related Life Science✅ Board certification or active candidacy through ABMGG in a relevant laboratory genetics discipline✅ Clinical laboratory management/technical experience preferred✅ Experience with NGS, RT-PCR, Sanger, microarray, FISH, and karyotyping✅ Knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulations📩 Interested candidates are encouraged to apply or reach out for more details at raji@staffingine.com | 415-549-8014
