Most entry-level histology positions are service work — running a fixed menu on someone else's platform. Here, you sit on the development side of the instrument. You will see how staining protocols are built, validated, and troubleshot before they reach the clinical market, and you will validate automated-platform and IVD product experience that is difficult to acquire early in a histology career.Compensation reflects experience. Candidates with prior hands-on IHC/ISH and automated Stainer experience are compensated at the upper end of the posted range. What You'll DoPrepare tissue sections, slides, and laboratory samplesOperate automated staining systems; perform IHC, ISH, FISH, and routine histology procedures manually and on instrumentPrepare reagents, controls, and laboratory materialsRun routine laboratory assays and QC testingSupport product testing and development activitiesMaintain and clean laboratory equipment and work areasAssist with preventive maintenance and equipment calibrationMaintain laboratory inventory and records in the ERP systemFollow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality requirementsPerform other laboratory tasks as assignedWhat You BringRequiredAssociate or bachelor's degree in biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow SOPs and detailed written instructionsBasic computer and documentation skillsClear communication and a collaborative approachPreferred — compensated at the upper end of the rangeHands-on experience with IHC, ISH, or FISHExperience operating automated staining platformsPrior laboratory or histology experience, including tissue processing and microtomyFamiliarity with ERP inventory or documentation systemsTrainingOn-the-job training is provided as needed.
