Lab Technician, iPSC

Job SummaryAt Canventa Life Sciences, we provide scientists with the essential cells they need to advance life-saving discoveries. We are looking for a Lab Technician, iPSC to join our team and help accelerate the pace of groundbreaking research.As a Lab Technician, you will play a hands-on role in creating and maintaining human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and guiding them into differentiated cell types. In this role, you will expand your technical toolkit with experience in iPSC manufacturing, qPCR, and flow cytometry, all while supporting our lab's operational excellence, safety compliance, and quality control.Please note that this role follows a Wednesday–Sunday schedule to perform routine cell culture maintenance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform routine iPSC culture tasks including passaging, seeding, counting, cryopreservation, sampling, and media/reagent preparation using aseptic techniques and following SOPs under supervisionExecute assays including PCR/qPCR, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence staining, and microscopy, while monitoring and recognizing expected versus unexpected cell behavior and outcomesComplete batch records, logs, and assay documentation accurately and on time, ensuring data integrity and promptly reporting deviations or unexpected resultsMaintain laboratory cleanliness, equipment, and supply inventory while adhering strictly to safety regulations, aseptic processing guidelines, and compliance standardsWork effectively with the team to support daily operations, communicate observations clearly, participate in training, and seek guidance when procedures fall outside standard guidelinesKnowledge and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with up to 2 years of lab/cell-culture experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant laboratory experiencePractical experience or familiarity with mammalian or stem-cell culture, including aseptic techniques, cell counting, passaging, and cryopreservation; cell culture production experience preferredDemonstrated ability to master basic laboratory techniques, execute detailed procedures, and operate within regulated manufacturing, laboratory, or quality environmentsStrong attention to detail with a proven track record of accurately documenting laboratory activities, batch records, and experimental data in accordance with SOPsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and seek guidance when needed
