Laboratory Director

Community hospital looking to bring on Laboratory Director! Sign on Bonus and Relocation! Responsible for the technical and administrative operation of the laboratory, pathology, transfusion service, out-patient lab and professional arts laboratory. Responsible for the capital and operational budgets. Demonstrates commitment to the quality, philosophy, and values of facility by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, process improvement, and safety standards. Provides oversight to areas to ensure effective and efficient lab operations, including lab planning. Follows up on any reported lab inconsistencies. Provides people leadership and ensures a well-trained and proficient staff. Ensures lab operations meets all regulatory compliance. Develops the annual lab budget and monitors performance/productivity to budget and makes necessary changes to meet budget.M-F 8am-5pm with occasional drop in on evenings/weekendsOversee Quality Assurance, Finance, ROI payback, work closely with 3 pathologistsOverseeing Blood Bank, Pathology, Lab, 4 draw sites as wellApprox. 70 FTE's including numerous supervisorsReports to VP of Operations

Qualifications

MT, Bachelor's Required (CLS)Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science requiredMaster of Science or a Doctoral level degree in a clinical laboratory science or MBA preferred5+ years of laboratory leadership experience required
