Laboratory Instrumentation Services SME | US (Remote) | Stanley Cowton InternationalRole OverviewStanley Cowton International is partnering with a US technical services organisation that supports regulated life sciences clients across asset management and laboratory operations. As part of its US growth strategy, the business is building a dedicated laboratory services capability. It is looking for a senior subject matter expert to lead that work from a technical standpoint.This is a client-facing role. It spans solution design, pursuit support and programme transition, and sits at the centre of how the business positions laboratory services as an integrated lifecycle offering.Why the Role ExistsDemand for integrated laboratory instrumentation services is growing, and clients expect providers to show deep, credible expertise from the first conversation. This role gives the business that expertise in-house. The successful candidate will shape solutions, speak with authority to client stakeholders and turn sold programmes into working operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the technical authority for laboratory services in client meetings, pursuits, presentations and industry events.Lead discovery of laboratory asset populations, service requirements, compliance needs, OEM dependencies and lifecycle risks.Develop technically sound and commercially practical solutions covering asset management, multi-vendor services, PM and repair, calibration, qualification and lifecycle planning.Support RFIs and RFPs, scopes of work, staffing and cost assumptions, service levels and self-perform versus subcontract strategies.Provide technical leadership through transition and mobilisation, including asset validation, SOPs, OEM and subcontractor onboarding, systems requirements and KPIs.Use asset, maintenance, reliability and cost data to identify improvements in uptime, cost and lifecycle planning.Candidate Profile10+ years in GMP/GxP-regulated laboratory environments across pharma, biotech, medical devices, CRO/CDMO, analytical OEM or scientific services.Strong working knowledge of chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC, GC), plus working knowledge of mass spectrometry and core QC instrumentation.Multi-OEM experience, with a sound understanding of when services should sit with the OEM, a third party or in-house.Prior responsibility for outsourced services, enterprise asset programmes, programme mobilisation or large laboratory-services transitions.Applied knowledge of 21 CFR 210/211 and Part 11, data integrity, USP <1058> and equipment qualification.Experience on the service-provider side of laboratory services is strongly valued.Confident, credible communication with technical and senior commercial stakeholders.A degree in chemistry, life sciences, engineering or a related discipline.What the Company OffersA senior, visible role at the centre of a growing US laboratory services business.The opportunity to help shape a new SME capability and, over time, build a team.Remote working within the US, with regular travel to client sites.Exposure to significant multi-site programmes across the regulated life sciences sector.
