The ideal candidate will oversee laboratory workflows, technical standards, regulatory compliance, resource management, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring accurate, efficient, and high-quality laboratory services.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement laboratory services strategies, operational frameworks, quality standards, and service improvement plans aligned with organizational objectives.Lead laboratory operations across testing, analysis, research support, diagnostics, environmental testing, or specialized laboratory services.Collaborate with Laboratory Operations, Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Clinical Services, Environmental Teams, Engineering, Information Technology, Compliance, Procurement, and Executive Leadership to deliver integrated laboratory solutions.Manage laboratory workflows, testing processes, sample management, equipment utilization, turnaround times, and service performance.Establish and maintain laboratory quality management systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation standards, and continuous improvement programmes.Ensure laboratory compliance with applicable regulations, accreditation requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.Oversee laboratory equipment lifecycle management including procurement, calibration, validation, maintenance, qualification, and replacement planning.Manage laboratory personnel, technical competency programmes, training initiatives, workload planning, and professional development.Coordinate laboratory audits, inspections, proficiency testing, quality assessments, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and regulatory reviews.Monitor laboratory performance, data accuracy, testing reliability, operational efficiency, and customer service outcomes.Develop laboratory service improvement initiatives, automation strategies, technology adoption plans, and operational optimization programmes.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including testing accuracy, turnaround time, equipment uptime, quality compliance, customer satisfaction, productivity, cost efficiency, audit performance, and safety metrics.Conduct laboratory performance reviews, quality audits, risk assessments, benchmarking studies, process evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with UAE laboratory regulations, ISO 17025 standards, ISO 15189 requirements where applicable, occupational health and safety regulations, biosafety requirements, data integrity standards, and organizational governance policies.Manage laboratory budgets, equipment investments, suppliers, service providers, external laboratories, technology platforms, and strategic laboratory initiatives.Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered laboratory analytics, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), automated workflows, robotics, predictive equipment maintenance, data visualization, and business intelligence solutions.Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), SAP, Oracle, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, laboratory automation platforms, quality management systems (QMS), and scientific data analytics tools to optimize laboratory operations.Prepare executive dashboards, laboratory performance reports, quality assessments, operational reviews, compliance reports, resource analyses, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop laboratory supervisors, scientists, technicians, analysts, and multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of scientific excellence, quality, safety, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Master's degree in Laboratory Management, Science, Biotechnology, Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline is highly advantageous.Professional certifications such as ASCP, ISO 17025 Lead Auditor, ISO 15189 Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent are preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory operations, laboratory management, scientific services, quality assurance, testing laboratories, clinical laboratories, or related roles.At least 2 years of experience managing laboratory teams, quality programmes, laboratory operations, or technical service functions preferred.Strong understanding of laboratory operations, quality management systems, laboratory accreditation standards, scientific testing processes, equipment management, biosafety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.Experience with LIMS, ELN systems, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, QMS platforms, laboratory automation systems, and scientific data management tools.Familiarity with AI-powered laboratory analytics, robotic laboratory automation, predictive equipment maintenance, digital laboratories, advanced instrumentation, and intelligent scientific workflow technologies is highly advantageous.Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, project management, budgeting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple laboratory service initiatives while balancing quality requirements, regulatory compliance, operational priorities, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed laboratory teams, scientists, technicians, regulators, suppliers, consultants, executives, and global stakeholders, with occasional travel for laboratory audits, inspections, technical reviews, training programmes, and strategic planning sessions as required.What We
