The role involves performing routine and specialized laboratory tests to support food quality and safety, including sample collection, preparation, and analysis. The Laboratory Specialist will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, document test results accurately, and assist in implementing quality control procedures and corrective actions. Responsibilities also include collaborating with production and quality teams, ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and regulatory standards, and supporting continuous improvement in testing methods and workflows.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including experience with sample handling, preparation, and testing in a food or related laboratory environment.Candidates should possess proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration, safety, and routine troubleshooting.Candidates should possess analytical skills for interpreting test results, identifying deviations, and supporting data-driven decisions.Candidates should possess knowledge of quality control principles and practices, including documentation, compliance with standards, and implementation of corrective actions.Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of laboratory medicine or food science principles relevant to testing and product safety.Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is preferred.Attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety and hygiene protocols are essential.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly in written and verbal form.
