Laboratory Supervisor

Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a qualified Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily technical activities of our Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory and support associated research and training activities. The role will ensure laboratory workflows are performed according to approved procedures, validated methods, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily molecular laboratory activities, workflows, and staff assignments.Monitor sample processing, testing, QC, documentation, and turnaround times.Ensure equipment, reagents, consumables, and laboratory areas are ready for use.Review QC performance and coordinate investigation of technical issues or deviations.Support method validation, verification, and implementation of new laboratory tests.Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, qualification, and performance monitoring.Maintain laboratory records, inventories, logs, and traceability.Support staff training, competency assessment, research activities, and practical training programs.Support laboratory audits, inspections, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Science, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or related field.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in molecular diagnostics.Experience with molecular techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, sequencing, and genomics is preferred.Strong knowledge of QC, laboratory documentation, biosafety, and validation.Must meet applicable Saudi professional licensing/eligibility requirements
