The Laboratory Technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, and prepare specimens according to established protocols. Responsibilities include following quality control procedures, documenting results accurately, and reporting any deviations or equipment issues promptly. The role involves assisting in calibration and troubleshooting of instruments, ensuring proper labeling and storage of samples, and strictly complying with safety and infection control guidelines. The Laboratory Technician will collaborate with other laboratory and clinical staff to support efficient workflows and reliable diagnostic outcomes.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and practical experience in core laboratory procedures.Candidates should be proficient in handling and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.Candidates should demonstrate solid quality control knowledge and adherence to standardized testing protocols.Candidates should have well-developed analytical skills to interpret test results and identify irregularities.Candidates should have prior experience working as laboratory technicians or in a similar clinical laboratory role.Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, and proper specimen handling practices.Strong attention to detail, accurate documentation skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage time and tasks in a high-volume setting.Professional certification or licensure in laboratory sciences (where applicable) is an advantage.
