قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجLaboratory TechnicianDepartment: LaboratoryReports To: Laboratory Supervisor / Medical DirectorJob Location: Medical CentreJob PurposeTo collect, process, and analyse patient specimens accurately and safely, ensuring reliable laboratory results and compliance with approved quality, infection-control, and patient-safety standard.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect blood and other clinical specimens using approved procedures.Verify patient identity and correctly label all specimens.Receive, register, process, store, and transport specimens appropriately.Perform laboratory tests in haematology, clinical chemistry, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, and other assigned sections within the authorised scope of practice.Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.Conduct internal quality-control procedures and document the results.Identify abnormal or critical results and immediately report them to the responsible physician or laboratory supervisor.Ensure accurate entry, verification, and timely release of laboratory results.Maintain appropriate stock levels of reagents, consumables, and collection materials.Monitor reagent expiry dates and storage temperatures.Follow infection-control, biosafety, and biomedical-waste disposal procedures.Maintain complete laboratory records, logs, maintenance reports, and quality documents.Protect patient confidentiality and medical information.Participate in audits, proficiency testing, quality-improvement activities, and staff training.Report equipment malfunctions, incidents, errors, and specimen rejection issues promptly.Follow the medical centre’s policies and all applicable regulatory requirements.Perform any other laboratory-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.Qualifications and RequirementsNationality: SaudiDiploma or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.Valid professional classification and registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).Previous clinical laboratory experience is preferred.Knowledge of laboratory equipment, quality-control procedures, and infection prevention.Good communication skills in Arabic and English.Required CompetenciesAccuracy and attention to detail.Patient identification and specimen-handling skills.Technical laboratory competence.Professionalism and confidentiality.Time management and teamwork.Ability to work under pressure.Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement.Key Performance IndicatorsAccuracy of laboratory results.Specimen rejection and laboratory error rates.Compliance with quality-control requirements.Turnaround time for laboratory tests.Documentation completeness.Compliance with infection-control and safety standards.Patient and physician satisfaction.
