The role involves preparing and organizing laboratory materials, equipment, and reagents for science lessons and practical activities. The Laboratory Technician will support teaching staff and students during experiments, ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals and equipment, and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment. Responsibilities include performing routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, and assisting with basic record-keeping, safety documentation, and compliance with school and regulatory standards.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and practical experience working in educational or scientific laboratories.Candidates should possess competency in handling and maintaining laboratory equipment, including setup, calibration, and routine care.Candidates should possess skills in quality control, ensuring experiments and lab processes follow safety and accuracy standards.Candidates should possess well-developed analytical skills to support data collection, basic analysis, and troubleshooting of experiments.Candidates should possess knowledge and experience relevant to the responsibilities of laboratory technicians in a school or similar setting.Relevant diploma or degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Laboratory Technology) is preferred.Familiarity with health and safety regulations in school science laboratories and commitment to safe working practices.Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate with teaching staff, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
