Laboratory Technician

An innovative battery recycling scale-up is looking for a Chemical Laboratory Technician to support laboratory research, process development and the optimisation of hydrometallurgical recycling technologies.The roleIndependently plan and conduct laboratory trials and chemical experiments.Document experimental procedures, measurement results and evaluations accurately.Analyse results, investigate errors and support chemical process optimisation.Operate, monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and experimental setups.Support pilot-plant activities and collaborate with research, development and production teams.Prepare samples for analytical testing.Maintain high laboratory safety and quality standards.Suggest improvements to laboratory methods, workflows and processes.Your backgroundCompleted vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemielaborant/in or an equivalent qualification.Several years of practical chemical laboratory experience.Confident operating standard laboratory equipment.Experience documenting experiments and supporting the evaluation of results.Exposure to ICP, ion chromatography or other analytical techniques would be advantageous.Independent, responsible and safety-conscious working style.Good German and English skills.Comfortable working within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.What’s on offerThe opportunity to contribute to industrial-scale battery recycling and the circular economy.A high level of ownership following a structured onboarding programme.Close collaboration with specialist research, process development and production teams.Career development within a rapidly scaling European technology business.A mission-driven environment focused on recovering critical battery materials and strengthening Europe’s battery supply chain.
