The Laboratory Technician will support daily laboratory operations, including setting up, maintaining, and safely operating laboratory equipment and instruments. Responsibilities include maintaining animal colonies, preparing samples and reagents, performing routine tests and experiments, recording and analyzing data, and assisting with research projects under the guidance of faculty or senior staff. The role also involves following established protocols, maintaining clean and organized workspaces, monitoring inventory of supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality control standards. The Laboratory Technician will collaborate with researchers, students, and other technical staff to support teaching and research activities within the assigned laboratory.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience or related discipline) or equivaboratory experience.Strong laboratory skills, including basic lab techniques.Experience working with laboratory animals is essential.Ability to perform quality control procedures, including verifying test accuracy and adhering to established protocols.Demonstrated analytical skills for data collection, interpretation, and documentation of experimental results.Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and best practices, including proper handling of chemicals and biological materials.Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a research or teaching lab environment.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
