Laboratory Technician

About the RoleThe role involves conducting routine lab tests and supporting various laboratory processes to ensure product quality and compliance.ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine lab tests - pH, viscosity, density, gloss, scrub resistance, CR/WI, Colour quality control, fineness of grind.Support RCA and special testing assigned by the Chemist.Accurate data recording on the logbook.Lab batch processing.Prepare samples, manage lab equipment, and record data.Support to conduct paint application assessment.Panel preparation.Support to test & verify the compliance of the incoming raw materials and customer application support.Maintain proper housekeeping and safety.QualificationsDiploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Laboratory Technology.Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Materials Engineering.Specialized coursework in coatings technology or surface chemistry is highly valued.Required Skills1–3 years of experience in decorative paint R&D or QC or Fresh Graduate.Ability to prepare paint samples, emulsions, and test batches.Accurate recording of test results.Support for preparation of technical datasheets and compliance reports.Preferred SkillsExperience in laboratory settings and familiarity with lab equipment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
