Job description:Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technician (MLS/MLT)Big Horn Hospital – Hardin, MTPermanent Full‑TimePosition OverviewClient is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP or equivalent) or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. This full‑time role offers the opportunity to work across all areas of the laboratory, supporting patient care through accurate testing, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare specimens and operate automated analyzers.Perform manual laboratory tests following established protocols.Evaluate and interpret test results with accuracy.Work across multiple laboratory disciplines including Microbiology and Immunohematology.Maintain laboratory quality control, proficiency testing, and Quality Assurance programs.Participate in facility performance improvement projects.Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and hospital policies.Provide coverage during nights, weekends, and on‑call shifts as required.Collaborate effectively with other hospital departments while working independently when needed.QualificationsDegree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.ASCP certification (or equivalent) required.Licensure in the State of Montana as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.Experience with laboratory procedures, specialized analyzers, and equipment preferred.Strong knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, and compliance regulations.Ability to work productively both supervised and unsupervised.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.ScheduleDay/Evening shifts with nights and weekends included in rotation.On‑call responsibilities as assigned.LocationHardin, MT 59034
