Key Responsibilities

Preparation of histological sections using rotary and sliding microtomesProcessing of fresh biopsies and embedding of tissueSample processing: H&E staining, macrodissections, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)Sample management: archiving and de-archiving of samples, as well as preparation for sample shipmentPreparation and execution of ordersMaintenance and regular servicing of laboratory equipmentWorking in a regulated environment (GCP)Creation and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs)Documentation and analysis of resultsDatabase entry and maintenance (electronic recording and documentation of all processes using LIMS)Preparation and follow-up of internal and external auditsSupport in the establishment and validation of new analysesQualifications / Experience:Successfully completed training as a BTA, MTLA, CTA, or biological laboratory technicianInitial work experience in the aforementioned tasks is desirableGood command of both English and GermanProficient in using the MS Office packageStructured, responsible, and independent working styleStrong communication skills and team spiritAdditional CT-Gyn qualification (DGZ) or other cytology skills are beneficialCompensation and Benefits:Discovery Life Sciences is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices, and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive.
