A global machinery manufacturer is seeking a Laser Field Service Technician to join a leading industrial machinery company. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically and electrically skilled professionals who enjoy travel, problem-solving, and hands-on technical work. Thisis a direct hire and permanent position. Location: Candidates must be based in Calgary, Winnipeg, Mississauga, or the Quebec City area, and reside within one hour of a major airport.Laser Field Service Technician Job Duties: Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial laser machining equipment.Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform on-site repairs.Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings to identify and resolve equipment issues.Provide technical support to customers both on-site and remotely.Document service activities, repairs, and recommendations.Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical expertise.Other duties as assigned Laser Field Service Technician Qualifications:Associate's Degree or Technical Diploma preferred.Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, Laser cutting machines experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, ball screws, gears, and motion systems.Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.Comfortable working at heights when required.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Strong communication and customer service skills.Laser Field Service Technician Requirements:100% travel Monday through Friday (home on weekends).Travel throughout Canada and the United States, with occasional international travel.Daily per diem provided while traveling.Candidates must live within one hour of a major airport in one of the following areas:Calgary, ABWinnipeg, MBMississauga, ONQuebec City, QC areaMust be eligible to enter customer facilities, including Canadian and U.S. federal/government facilities, which may require successfully passing applicable background or security screening.Ability to travel extensively by air and operate a motor vehicle.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work, including bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
