About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Lead to oversee the accounting and financial reporting function and ensure accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant financial reporting. The successful candidate will combine a strong technical accounting foundation with hands-on experience in financial consolidation, accounting policies, audit coordination, and complex accounting matters. This is a key role for a growing organization and requires someone capable of building and strengthening a scalable accounting framework, not simply operating an existing function.
Responsibilities
Lead accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.Oversee the preparation and review of statutory and management financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Assess complex, significant, and non-routine transactions and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.Develop, establish, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS and applicable Saudi requirements.Prepare technical accounting papers and position papers for significant or complex transactions.Monitor changes in IFRS and assess their potential impact on the organization, policies, processes, and reporting.Lead group financial consolidation across multiple entities, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.Lead coordination with external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit queries, technical matters, and findings.Develop and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting procedures, and systems, including opportunities for automation.Provide technical accounting guidance and coaching to team members and support the development of a scalable, high-performing accounting function.Partner with Finance and other stakeholders to ensure accounting implications are appropriately considered in business decisions and transactions.
Qualifications
7–10 years of relevant accounting, audit, and financial reporting experience.ACCA or CPA qualification is required.Big 4 audit firm background is highly preferred.Deep knowledge of IFRS with demonstrated ability to apply standards to complex transactions.Proven hands-on experience in group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and preparation of consolidated financial statements.Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.Strong experience managing external auditors and resolving technical accounting matters.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Currently residing in Saudi Arabia; Riyadh-based candidates are preferred.

Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capabilities.Excellent knowledge of consolidation accounting and intercompany eliminations.Strong month-end and year-end close management skills.Ability to analyze complex transactions and translate them into clear, well-supported accounting conclusions.Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting governance, and financial processes.Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of ERP and accounting systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing, and evolving organization.Preferred Skills:The ideal candidate will have a strong Big 4 foundation combined with senior in-house accounting or financial reporting experience.They will be technically strong, hands-on, and comfortable acting as the organization’s subject-matter expert for IFRS and complex accounting matters.The role requires someone who can build and strengthen accounting policies, controls, processes, and consolidation capabilities from the ground up while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, governance, and execution.
