This role sits within the AI Studio and focuses on developing scalable LLM applications, AI agents, and RAG-based systems.The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering foundations with deep expertise in Generative AI, and demonstrate the ability to lead teams, drive standards, and build reliable AI solutions in production environments.Key Responsibilities:Functional• Design, build and deploy LLM-powered applications, including RAG systems and AI agents• Develop scalable backend systems using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django)• Architect and implement distributed systems and event-driven applications• Build and optimize AI workflows, orchestration pipelines, and multi-step agent systems• Establish best practices for AI model evaluation, monitoring, and observability• Optimize AI systems for performance, cost, scalability, and reliability• Design and implement secure APIs, authentication mechanisms, and integrations• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions• Lead code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making• Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence across teams• Promote use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery speed• Continuously improve processes to enhance solution quality and efficiency• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessmentsRequirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including experience in AI/ML systems• Strong programming expertise in Python and modern backend frameworks• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems• Deep understanding of:Large Language Models (LLMs)Embeddings and vector databasesRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)AI agents and multi-step workflows• Hands-on experience with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel)• Experience designing scalable distributed systems and microservices architectures• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Docker, Kubernetes• Experience in API design, security, and system integrations• Strong understanding of AI system evaluation, monitoring, and failure handling• Ability to clearly communicate technical decisions and trade-offsIdeally, you’ll also need• Experience in fine-tuning and evaluating foundation models• Exposure to multimodal AI systems• Familiarity with GPU optimization and distributed training frameworks• Experience building enterprise copilots, AI assistants, or autonomous workflows• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases• Contributions to open-source or personal AI projects• A passion for innovation and continuous improvementWhat we look for:If you are a performance-driven, curious and innovative problem-solver with the ability to operate in ambiguity, you will fit right in.
