Lead AI Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to lead the development and deployment of scalable AI and Generative AI solutions while managing a growing AI Engineering team.This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving AI initiatives from concept and prototyping through to production deployment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of AI and Engineering professionals.Drive end-to-end delivery of AI and Generative AI solutions.Design and deploy LLM, RAG, AI Agent, and multimodal AI applications.Establish best practices across MLOps, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and monitoring.Conduct technical reviews and ensure high standards of software engineering and architecture.Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful AI solutions.Champion responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance standards.Requirements8-10+ years of experience in AI/ML Engineering or Software Engineering.Strong people management and team leadership experience.Strong foundation in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing developed before the GenAI era.Experience building and deploying production-scale AI applications.Advanced Python development skills.Strong understanding of MLOps, CI/CD, cloud deployment, and software engineering best practices.Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and evaluation frameworks.Experience delivering scalable AI products in production environments.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred SkillsAzure OpenAIAzure AI SearchAzure Machine LearningAzure AI FoundryDocker, Kubernetes, GitHub ActionsExperience within EdTech or digital product environmentsArabic language skillsIdeal CandidateWe're particularly interested in candidates who possess deep AI/ML expertise predating the recent GenAI boom, combined with hands-on experience delivering modern LLM and Generative AI solutions at scale.
