Operating directly from the sell-side client’s floor, the successful candidate will act as a strategic partner, driving investment insights, building complex valuation models, and maintaining seamless stakeholder communication.Key ResponsibilitiesSector Coverage & Macro Tracking: Actively track and analyze the GCC Oil & Gas sector/stocks. Monitor macroeconomic data, regulatory shifts, and global energy trends, providing real-time, actionable updates to clients and internal stakeholders.Financial Modelling & Valuation: Independently construct, maintain, and execute quarterly rollovers of robust financial models for covered companies, ensuring the highest standards of forecasting accuracy.Investment Writing & Ideation: Author high-impact institutional reports, including Initiation of Coverage (ICRs), earnings reviews, and thematic notes. Identify emerging sector trends and actively debate investment theses with the client.Earnings Call Coverage: Attend corporate earnings conference calls, distilling complex disclosures into concise, high-value summary notes for immediate client distribution.On-Floor Client Management: Maintain a strong, collaborative presence on the client's floor. Act as the primary point of contact, managing workflow updates, and seamlessly executing ad-hoc requests (e.g., deep-dive secondary research, data gathering, and rapid-response modelling).Delivery Excellence: Ensure all deliverables meet stringent institutional quality standards and are executed within tight market-driven timelines.Knowledge Leadership: Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, mentoring junior team members, and driving continuous improvement in research methodologies.Expertise & QualificationsDomain Experience (6-8 years): Proven experience in Sell-Side equity research, with a specialized and deep-dive focus across the Oil & Gas value chain (Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream).Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in financial modelling, valuation techniques (DCF, relative valuation), and institutional-grade report writing.Market Tools: High proficiency in leveraging financial databases such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv Eikon.Communication & Presence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the professional gravitas required to interface directly with sophisticated sell-side clients.Mobility: Fully open to relocating to the client site in the GCC region on a temporary or permanent basis as required.Education & Credentials: MBA from a premier business school and/or CFA charter holder (minimum CFA Level 2 cleared).We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
