Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Audio/Visual Technician to join the Stagevision team. This role is responsible for leading the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and strike of integrated audio, video, projection, display, camera, switching, playback, streaming, and conferencing systems for live, virtual, and hybrid events. The ideal candidate brings strong cross-discipline AV knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to manage show-site execution while maintaining the Stagevision Standard of safety, accuracy, presentation, and client service. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and dismantle of integrated audio/visual systems for live events, meetings, conferences, hybrid productions, and staged experiences.Operate and support audio consoles, microphones, speakers, video switchers, projectors, screens, LED displays, cameras, playback systems, confidence monitors, streaming platforms, and conferencing systems.Interpret event specifications, technical drawings, show flows, room layouts, floor plans, equipment lists, and run-of-show documents to ensure accurate system deployment.Lead pre-event testing, signal checks, line checks, video routing verification, projection alignment, display testing, audio checks, and system troubleshooting.Coordinate AV requirements across audio, video, lighting, staging, scenic, power, rigging, warehouse, project management, and client teams.Lead and support AV crews during load-ins, rehearsals, show operation, resets, changeovers, and load-outs.Identify technical, safety, connectivity, workflow, or schedule risks early and communicate practical solutions.Maintain accurate equipment handling, packing, loading, labelling, tracking, and return procedures in accordance with company standards. Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 4 years of experience in live event AV production, corporate events, broadcast, theatre, hospitality events, or a related technical environment.Proven experience leading AV setups, show operation, crew coordination, or technical execution on-site.Strong working knowledge of audio signal flow, video signal flow, projection, display systems, camera systems, switching, routing, playback, streaming, conferencing, and live event troubleshooting.Experience operating professional AV equipment such as digital audio consoles, wireless microphone systems, video switchers, projectors, LED displays, cameras, media servers, presentation computers, and intercom systems.Ability to read and follow technical drawings, room layouts, equipment lists, show notes, cue sheets, production schedules, and event run sheets.Knowledge of networking, signal conversion, cabling standards, power requirements, and basic system integration is an asset.Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation; ability to drive company vehicles is an asset.Comfortable working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.Strong leadership, communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift, move, install, connect, and handle production equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail and commitment to following processes, safety practices, and company standards.What Makes You a Great Fit A confident lead technician who takes ownership of audio execution from preparation through show completion.A calm, solutions-focused operator who can troubleshoot quickly and lead effectively during live events.A team player who communicates clearly and supports coordination across technical departments.Someone who values precision, safety, preparation, clean signal flow, professional presentation, and reliable execution.A client-focused individual who understands that clear, consistent audio is central to the overall event experience.
