This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established product development organization with over 1,500 employees and USD 280 million in annual revenue, building innovative technology solutions that power complex global supply chain operations.As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining technical architecture, mentoring engineering teams, and delivering robust, high-performance backend services. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams to build secure, reliable, and scalable distributed systems capable of handling large-scale business transactions.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend applications using GolangLead the architecture and implementation of microservices and distributed systemsDrive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, security, and performance optimizationCollaborate with product management to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsMentor and guide senior and junior engineers through technical leadership and code reviewsBuild resilient APIs and backend services that support mission-critical supply chain applicationsOptimize database performance, caching strategies, and system throughput for high-volume workloadsWork closely with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructureParticipate in architectural discussions, technical planning, and technology roadmap decisionsTroubleshoot production issues and ensure high system availability, reliability, and observabilityPromote engineering excellence by introducing modern backend development practices and scalable design patternsRequired Skills & Qualifications10-18 years of professional software engineering experience with significant backend development expertiseStrong hands-on experience with Golang, including building production-grade applicationsDeep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, and scalable application designExperience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven architecturesStrong knowledge of microservices architecture and backend design principlesExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and data modelingProficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like KubernetesExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformStrong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing frameworksKnowledge of message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is highly desirableFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools for production environmentsExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound architectural decisionsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills with proven leadership experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience developing enterprise SaaS or large-scale product platformsExposure to supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, or enterprise software domains is an advantageExperience leading engineering teams and driving technical initiatives across multiple projectsStrong understanding of system security, scalability, and performance engineeringBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
