Our committed and well-trained workforce professionals deliver comprehensive workforce solutions at integrated career centers, sector-focused centers and community, and partner sites.Job DescriptionAs an emerging leader, under the direction of the Supervisor, provides support in training, team cohesion, and may act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Career Navigator functionsModel and be an advocate for operational excellence and high-quality customer service practicesContinue to function as Career Navigator with specified lead duties including but not limited to detailed case management, authorizing and coordinating supportive services, closely tracking obligations for participant reimbursement funds, outreach, and follow-upMeet with participants to identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to manage these issuesMaintain caseload and keep complete, accurate, and timely case notes and related records in manual and/or electronic systems, and monitor and record job seeker participation in required activitiesMaintain regular contact with caseload, and serve as a liaison between customer and service providersSend out correspondence to schedule appointments, request employment verifications, and acquire pay stubs when applicableAuthorize, distribute, and reconcile participant reimbursementsEnsure accurate record of case file and electronic recordsAttend select leadership and team meetings and collaboration sessions, when neededAccurately record eligibility, enrollment, assessment, services, and placement information within tracking systemsEnsure confidentiality of job seeker information and protect and secure equipment and propertySupport the team as needed with data entry, case management, quick hires, or other operational areaPerform other duties as assigned QualificationsAssociate’s degree in related field and minimum 2 years of experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skills (strong verbal communication, good listener, articulate, culturally sensitive and excellent written communication)Demonstrated experience with workload management and accountability; plan and organize assignments to create timely, accurate work productsDemonstrated analytical skills to include using logic and reasoning to assess information, form logical conclusions, evaluate options, and make decisions or recommendationsDemonstrated proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS OutlookExperience with federal, state, and local regulations related to employment and training programs including general knowledge of the workforce one-stop and partner programs and partner programs and servicesKnowledge of characteristics associated with unemployed, dislocated, and disadvantaged populationsStrong writing skills to include report writingDemonstrated experience working independently while maintaining collaborationCurrent valid driver’s license (with low-risk driver rating) and automobile liability insurance requiredPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in related field and minimum 4 years of experienceHas experience in leadership, training, or supporting team and operational effectivenessAdditional InformationThis is an hourly (non-exempt) full-time position with a general schedule of Monday – Friday within normal operating hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, excluding company observed holidays.This is a Hybrid Remote/In-person role requiring at least 2-3 days in office or meeting with customers in person.Travel requirement of up to 20% of the time within business hours. No weekend travel.
