As Lead Credit Collection Analyst, you will oversee team operations, act as the first point of escalation and support the Credit Collection Manager with reporting, projects and process improvements.Key tasksOversee day-to-day credit collection activities and ensure customer accounts and trade debtor balances are effectively controlled in line with Credit Policy. Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, supporting Credit Control Analysts in resolving complex customer and collection matters. Monitor customer accounts, overdue debt and collection activities, identifying risks and taking appropriate action with relevant stakeholders. Support the resolution of customer disputes and issues, including decisions relating to blocked and unblocked customer orders. Prepare and coordinate team-level KPI, ERP and month-end reporting, including overdue balances, bad debt provision, disputes and accounts receivable. Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Business Units and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain effective working relationships. Act as backup for the Credit Collection Manager and provide portfolio reviews, guidance and escalation support to team members. Participate in projects, system implementations and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting compliance with relevant Credit Management policies and controls. Experience Required2+ years of experience in Credit Control, Cash Collection, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service or a related credit environment. Strong financial and accounting knowledge, with good numeracy, analytical skills and financial awareness. Previous people management, team leadership or supervisory experience. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial and operational data; SAP experience is an advantage. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex or sensitive situations. Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, prioritise effectively and make sound decisions. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and act as a credible escalation point. Fluent English, both written and spoken, with a confident and approachable communication style.
