Lead Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Bilingual Lead Data Engineer in Bogota to drive the architecture, scalability, reliability, and quality of our data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, building scalable data solutions, and mentoring engineers while driving technical excellence.What You’ll DoLead data architecture and engineering decisions across our GCP data platform.Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows.Develop and optimize BigQuery data models to power analytics and business intelligence.Establish best practices for code quality, testing, monitoring, security, and data governance.Mentor engineers and collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and cross-functional teams.Improve platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.What We’re Looking ForSignificant experience in Data Engineering, ideally as a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or Data Architect.Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.Hands-on experience with Cloud Run, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.Strong knowledge of data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and production environments.Proven technical leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. What We Offer
