Senior Software Engineer – Real-Time Data Systems | Investment ManagementSalary: £100,000 - £115,000 Base + Competitive Bonus Location: London (Hybrid)I'm partnering with a leading global investment manager that is looking to appoint a Senior Software Engineer to join its Technology team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll be responsible for delivering mission-critical real-time and historical market data platforms that underpin investment decision-making. You'll drive engineering standards, and technical direction of the platform while ensuring scalability, resilience, and production stability across a modern AWS-based environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and delivery of real-time and time-series data platforms.Design and implement integrations with market data platforms including OneTick, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and other real-time data providers.Define technical architecture, engineering standards, and development best practices.Build resilient, scalable, cloud-native services and data platforms on AWS.Champion platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence.Skills & ExperienceExtensive experience integrating with real-time market data platforms, ideally OneTick.Strong expertise in time-series databases and analytical data platforms.Working knowledge of Java or Python.Proven track record of building scalable, cloud-native applications and services on AWS.Experience leading the delivery of mission-critical systems using real-time streaming and messaging technologies.Deep understanding of financial time-series data, including high-volume market data and data correction.
