Lead DevSecOps EngineerWe're building an ambitious deeptech business and have raised $12M in pre-seed funding from renowned investors, including Anthropic, Wiz and Revolut.We're now looking for a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to take ownership of our platform engineering, security infrastructure and developer experience.This is a critical hire for the business. As our first dedicated DevSecOps engineer, you'll have the autonomy to shape the function from the ground up, make key architectural decisions and build the systems that enable our engineering team to move faster as we scale.The foundations you build will directly influence how we develop, secure and deploy software across the business.What you'll be doingOwning and evolving our internal developer platform, improving CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.Building standardised deployment workflows with security, compliance and observability built in.Driving our Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.Managing our cloud infrastructure and self-hosted GitLab ecosystem.Embedding automated security tooling and supporting compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2 and Secure by Design.What we're looking forAround 5+ years of experience across DevSecOps, platform engineering or infrastructure.Strong experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure and Terraform or similar IaC tooling.Scripting and automation skills using Python, Go, Bash or similar.Experience implementing security controls and supporting compliance requirements.Someone who thrives on autonomy, takes ownership and enjoys building from scratch.Why join?First dedicated hire: establish the DevSecOps function and define how it operates.Huge impact: influence engineering velocity, security and the company's ability to scale.Real autonomy: shape the technical direction and choose the right tools and approaches.Exceptional backing: join a high-growth deeptech startup backed by $12M in pre-seed funding.An opportunity to build something meaningful, own a critical engineering function and see the direct impact of your work.
