Company OverviewTanajib Operation and Maintenance Company operates a Power Cogeneration Plant and Seawater Desalination Plant constructed as part of the Marjan Field Project of Saudi Aramco, with a net capacity of approximately 940 MW of electricity generation and steam output of approximately 1,084 tons per hour, along with a desalinated water output of approximately 19,470 cubic meters per dayVacancyReporting directly to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the Lead Electrical Engineer will lead the electrical maintenance team in delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance across the Tanajib Cogeneration and Desalination Plants.The role will oversee routine and preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and the planning and execution of planned and unplanned outages. Working closely with Operations, other maintenance disciplines, contractors and OEM representatives, the successful candidate will ensure electrical maintenance activities are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.Responsibilities include developing maintenance programs through CMMS, supporting long-term service contracts, managing electrical equipment life cycles, and implementing engineering practices in accordance with OEM requirements and applicable standards. The role will also oversee maintenance budgeting, technical reporting, team development and continuous improvement to support plant availability, reliability and performance targets.Education & ExperienceAn accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer working with power plant electrical systems, including generators, excitation systems, generator protection systems, transformers, MV and LV switchgear, motors, UPS systems, battery chargers and associated auxiliary equipment.3–5 years of experience leading maintenance crews, supervisors or engineering teams in a power generation environment.Experience in gas turbine, steam turbine and Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) outage planning, execution, commissioning and electrical maintenance.Working knowledge of plant control systems, including DCS interfaces, electrical interlocks, logic review, signal verification and electrical control circuit troubleshooting.Experience in corrective maintenance, failure analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Ability to review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, protection philosophies and technical documentation.Proficiency in preparing and reviewing inspection reports, outage reports, technical recommendations and maintenance documentation.Experience as a technical lead in administering and managing Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) and OEM service contracts.Experience in maintenance budget preparation, budget tracking, cost analysis, expenditure monitoring and management reporting.Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Strong understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems, electrical safety rules and applicable maintenance standards.Strong planning, leadership, communication, presentation and IT skills, with a good command of English.Ability to develop team capability, lead multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, and build effective stakeholder relationships.Ability to work independently, prioritize activities and take a proactive approach to problem-solving, decision-making and continuous improvement.Employment with TOMCoOur employee satisfaction goal is to provide individuals with rewarding and long-term career opportunities in the Power and Utilities sector.
