Lead Facilities Engineer (O&G)

Position: Lead Facilities Engineer (Oil & Gas)Location: Dubai, UAEEmployment Type: 1 Year contract (Single status)ResponsibilitiesEstablish the study basis.Conduct in-house studies; Identify and evaluate feasible options and prepare study reporting.Responsible for conducting external studies by Engineering Service Contractors.Ensure relevant discipline Engineering assessments are conducted as required to develop study reports and key deliverables such as, but not limited to, process simulations, conceptual Process and Instrument Diagrams and specification of Long Lead Items.Liaison with other teams to establish relevant Capital Expenditure (CapEx) / Operating Expenses (OpEx) estimates for study concepts.Compile all relevant study documentation for filing.As required, provide support during later implementation of facility modifications.Fulfill the role as Solution Owner for implementation of facility modificationsOccasional site visits to offshore and onshore facilities may be required for discussions and scope definition.Arrange vendor meetings for validation and selection of technologies.Education and QualificationDegree-qualified in Chemical Engineering.Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status preferred.15+ years of experience in process and chemical engineering within the oil and gas industry.Minimum 10 years’ experience in facilities development, feasibility studies, and conceptual design, with exposure to all project design phases from conceptual design through to detailed design preferred.Experience in process simulation software such as HYSYS and PIPESIM, with the capability to use and preferably develop in-house MS Excel models and calculations.
