Lead Faculty Architecture

About the roleRays Education is looking for an experienced educator to lead our Architecture and Design entrance programmes. The role combines classroom teaching, student mentorship, curriculum development and faculty coordination, with responsibility for academic quality and student outcomes.Key responsibilities· Teach drawing, sketching, perspective, composition, design thinking, visualisation, spatial ability and architectural awareness.· Deliver aptitude and reasoning sessions within your expertise, and coordinate with specialist faculty for mathematics and other exam-specific subjects.· Develop separate preparation plans for each examination, covering the relevant creative, drawing and aptitude components.· Create lesson plans, study materials, question banks, assignments and mock examinations.· Evaluate students’ creative work and test performance, provide individual feedback and plan targeted improvement sessions.· Prepare students for practical tasks, studio tests and interviews wherever applicable.· Lead faculty coordination, teaching schedules, syllabus completion and academic reviews.· Mentor students on architecture and design pathways, institution choices and admission requirements.· Track changes in official examination patterns and update course content accordingly.· Support programme launches, demonstration classes, school workshops and academic counselling sessions.Candidate profile· B.Arch or a relevant degree in Design/Fine Arts; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.· Preferably 5+ years of relevant teaching experience, including experience leading a programme or coordinating faculty.· Strong expertise in architecture entrance preparation, with teaching experience across design entrance examinations.· A demonstrable record of student selections and strong results in NATA, JEE B.Arch, NID, UCEED or NIFT.· Ability to teach creative concepts clearly and assess drawing and design work constructively.· Experience developing curricula, study materials and mock assessments.· Strong classroom management, mentoring and academic leadership skills.· Comfortable teaching in English and Malayalam and using digital teaching tools.Success in this roleConsistent teaching quality, timely syllabus completion, measurable student improvement, strong entrance results and effective faculty coordination.CompensationCompetitive and commensurate with experience, subject expertise and demonstrated results.Application requirementsPlease share your CV, examinations and subjects taught, details of student outcomes, and samples of teaching content or creative work.
