Their feed runs 2x faster than Hyperliquid's own, powers 30+ trading apps and $600M+ in daily volume, and the company is profitable at two years in with no VC behind them.The product is a data layer: raw on-chain data cleaned, deduplicated, and delivered to clients via low-latency REST APIs and WebSocket streams. Clients use it to power trading terminals, market maker tooling, and analytics products.The next step is owning the visualization layer too.The roleClients already take Hydromancer data and build their own charts. This hire builds the charting product that makes that unnecessary: a B2B charting library and terminal that trading platforms, market makers, and developers can embed or use out of the box.It is a near-greenfield build. The backend data layer is handled by the existing team. This person owns the frontend: architecture, rendering decisions, component design, and everything that makes financial charts fast, smooth, and useful at scale.You will work directly with the founders on product direction. Think less "here are the tickets" and more "here is what needs to exist."What you will work onBuilding the core charting engine: candlesticks, order books, footprint charts, liquidations, funding rates, open interest and moreDesigning for real-time: WebSocket data arriving at high frequency and rendering it without dropping framesMaking it fast: handling thousands of concurrent users across different hardware and connection speedsMaking it embeddable: a library other developers can integrate cleanly, not a monolithic appOwning the technical decisions: rendering approach, data structures, component API designWhat we are looking forMust haves:Deep experience building financial or trading charting software, not just consuming a library but actually designing and building oneStrong command of high-performance browser rendering: Canvas, WebGL, or WebGPUTypeScript and modern frontend architectureReal-time WebSocket data integration at meaningful scaleHas shipped a charting product to production and seen what breaks when thousands of users hit it simultaneouslyStrong plus:Experience with TradingView Charting Library, Lightweight Charts, SciChart, D3, PixiJS, or similarFamiliarity with financial data structures: OHLCV, order books, funding rates, open interestBackground in fintech, trading infrastructure, or crypto analyticsStartup experience: comfortable building from scratch without a large team or established playbookHas led a product, not just contributed featuresThe setupFive-person engineering team, all seniorFully remote within Europe, Netherlands preferredOne weekly standup, otherwise async and output-drivenCompetitive base salary with meaningful equityWhy HydromancerThis is not a feature team role.
