Lead Full Stack Developer — AI-Forward Development (.NET & Angular)Saisystems Health is hiring a Lead Full Stack Developer with 9+ years of .NET and Angular experience, a US healthcare background and a track record of AI-forward engineering to lead technical delivery on ECM, our enterprise claims management platform.About the roleThe Lead owns technical direction and delivery quality for an ECM squad: setting architecture and coding standards, reviewing critical changes, mentoring developers, and still shipping hands-on code across Angular, .NET and T-SQL. Roughly half the role is hands-on engineering; the rest is design, review, planning and people leadership. The product. ECM manages the full claim lifecycle for US healthcare provider organisations: patient and encounter capture, coding and charge entry, eligibility, a configurable business-rules engine, clearinghouse claim transmission, ERA/835 payment posting, denial and AR work queues, patient statements, credentialing and executive reporting. The engineering problem. ECM is a mature, high-volume, multi-tenant SaaS platform with tens of millions of claim and transaction rows, external BI consumers on the same database, and scheduled automation alongside the API. The Lead decides how new features and modernisation — performance, observability, test coverage, security hardening and debt reduction — are sequenced in a system that cannot stop running. Why AI-forward. The Lead sets how the team uses AI: which tools and workflows are approved, how AI-assisted code is reviewed, and where AI measurably improves throughput and quality — while keeping PHI and secrets out of external tools.Key responsibilitiesTechnical leadership and architectureOwn the technical design of features and modernisation work across Angular, ASP.NET Core and Azure SQL; write design notes and lead design reviews.Define and enforce coding standards, layering (controller → interface → service → stored procedure), API contracts and Angular/NgRx patterns.Lead decomposition of oversized services and components, and plan incremental refactoring without disrupting production.Drive database performance: indexing strategy, execution-plan analysis, Query Store regressions and locking against concurrent BI reads.Shape the architecture of healthcare integrations — X12 EDI (837, 835, 277CA, 999), clearinghouse SFTP, ERA auto-posting and payer interfaces.AI-forward engineering leadershipSet the team's AI development practice: approved tools, prompting and context-management techniques, and agentic workflows for multi-file changes, test generation and migration.Define review standards for AI-assisted code, with added scrutiny for stored procedures, EDI processing and production data paths.Identify, prototype and measure AI use cases in the workflow and the product (for example, test-case design, code review assistance, denial analysis or document extraction) within approved, HIPAA-compliant tooling.Coach developers on effective, verified AI use and share reusable prompts and playbooks across teams.Delivery and qualityBreak down epics into estimable work with the Development Manager and product owners; own sprint technical commitments.Review pull requests on critical paths and run pre-merge impact assessment across develop → QA → UAT → staging → production.Raise unit and integration test coverage (xUnit, Moq, Jasmine/Karma) and partner with QA on regression strategy.Lead diagnosis of production incidents using Application Insights, logs and Query Store; run root-cause reviews and track fixes.Maintain a prioritised technical-debt backlog and balance it against feature delivery.People and collaborationMentor and grow developers through pairing, code review and design feedback; contribute to hiring and onboarding.Act as the technical point of contact for US-based product and business stakeholders, translating requirements into clear designs and realistic estimates.Communicate status, risks and trade-offs clearly in writing for asynchronous, cross-time-zone work.Security and complianceEnsure HIPAA and secure-by-default practices are designed in: minimum-necessary data access, audit logging, secrets in Key Vault, least-privilege access and no PHI in logs, tickets or AI tools.Review designs for audit, access-control and data-retention requirements.Required qualificationsExperience9+ years of professional software development, with deep full stack experience in .NET and Angular on production systems.3+ years in a technical lead, tech lead or senior-lead role — owning design, code review and delivery for a team of developers.3+ years working on US healthcare software — revenue cycle management, medical billing, claims, practice management, EHR or payer systems..NET, database and architectureExpert C# and ASP.NET Core Web API (.NET 6 or later), with EF Core and/or Dapper; strong grasp of layered architecture, SOLID and dependency injection.Advanced SQL Server / T-SQL: designing schemas and indexes, tuning complex stored procedures, reading execution plans and resolving locking and blocking at scale.Proven experience refactoring and modernising a large, live codebase incrementally.AngularExpert Angular (12+) with TypeScript, RxJS and NgRx or another Redux-style store; able to set front-end architecture and standards for a team.AI-forward engineeringDemonstrated daily use of AI development platforms — Claude / Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT / Codex, Cursor or similar — including agentic workflows on a large codebase.Experience introducing or standardising AI tooling for a team, with clear review and verification practices. Can show examples of measurable gains (throughput, test coverage, defect reduction) from AI-assisted work, and of catching flawed AI output.Healthcare domainStrong knowledge of the claim lifecycle: charge entry, claim submission, adjudication, remittance, denials and AR follow-up.Hands-on experience with HIPAA X12 transactions (837, 835, 277CA, 999) and CMS-1500 / UB-04 claim formats.Working understanding of the HIPAA PrivLeadership and practiceGit, pull-request workflow and CI/CD on Azure DevOps or similar; experience defining branching and release processes.Track record of mentoring developers and leading design and code reviews.Clear written and verbal communication with US-based stakeholders.Willing to work from the Pune office full time.Preferred qualificationsExperience integrating LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenAI) into .NET applications — prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), structured output, evaluation and cost control — within HIPAA-compliant boundaries.Experience shipping AI features in RCM, such as denial prediction, coding assistance, document extraction or claim scrubbing.Deep Microsoft Azure experience: App Service, WebJobs, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Service Bus, Redis, Application Insights, Entra ID; infrastructure-as-code (Bicep or Terraform).Multi-tenant SaaS architecture, message-driven design and background-job orchestration.EDI tooling such as EdiFabric; clearinghouse onboarding and payer connectivity.Observability practice: structured logging (Serilog), distributed tracing, SLOs and alerting.Reporting or BI exposure (Power BI, SSRS) and designing for concurrent BI workloads.Certifications (any of): Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), or healthcare coursework such as AAPC or HFMA.Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field — or equivalent demonstrable professional experience. What you have built, shipped and led counts more than the credential.Core competencies and success measuresLeadership competenciesTechnical judgement — makes sound trade-offs between speed, quality and risk in a live, regulated system.Evidence over assertion — backs decisions on performance and impact with measurements.Production respect — weighs every change for its effect on live claims, payments and data.Multiplier mindset — raises the team's output through mentoring, standards and shared AI practice, not just personal output.Clear written communication — design notes, status and risk updates that work across time zones.Compliance, security and responsible AI useECM processes Protected Health Information (PHI). All engineers complete HIPAA training and are bound by Saisystems Health security and confidentiality policies. The Lead is accountable for the team following these rules and for raising compliance risks early. No PHI, patient data, credentials, production connection strings or confidential business data is ever entered into an external or unapproved AI tool.AI is an accelerator, not a substitute for engineering judgement; accountability for correctness stays with the engineer and the reviewing Lead.AI-generated code is reviewed to the same standard as hand-written code, with added scrutiny for stored procedures, EDI processing and production data paths.Secure-by-default habits: no PHI in logs, tickets, screenshots or non-production data; least-privilege access; secrets in Key Vault, never in source.Employment is subject to a background check and a signed confidentiality agreement.Equal opportunity: Saisystems Health is an equal opportunity employer. HR to confirm the standard EEO statement and any compensation or benefits wording before posting.
