The complexity and diversity of the organization create an excellent environment for an experienced D365 professional who enjoys solving sophisticated financial and operational business problems.This position will serve as a senior functional leader for D365 Finance, partnering closely with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, implementation consultants, developers, and technology teams to design, configure, optimize, and continuously improve the company's Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment.The ideal candidate is a hands-on functional leader with strong knowledge of both D365 Finance and end-to-end financial processes, along with a configure-before-customize mindset.What You'll DoFinance Business Process & Solution Design Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable D365 Finance solutions. Lead current-state and future-state process analysis across: General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Cash & Bank Management Fixed Assets Budgeting Financial Reporting Lead fit-to-standard and fit-gap assessments. Drive process standardization, scalability, and continuous improvement. Evaluate cross-functional impacts between Finance and Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, Project Operations, and other business processes. D365 Finance Configuration & Optimization Perform and oversee D365 Finance configuration, including: Financial dimensions Posting profiles Financial workflows Organizational structures Finance parameters Evaluate standard D365 Finance functionality before recommending customization. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes using out-of-the-box D365 capabilities. Evaluate new Microsoft D365 Finance capabilities and recommend valuable functionality for adoption. Promote a configure-before-customize approach to create a more scalable and maintainable D365 environment. Business & Technology Collaboration Serve as the senior Finance functional counterpart to implementation consultants throughout discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization. Lead Finance workshops, fit-gap sessions, solution demonstrations, and design reviews. Collaborate with developers and technical teams when custom solutions are required. Review functional and technical solution designs for alignment with business requirements and D365 best practices. Translate Finance requirements into clear functional specifications and acceptance criteria. Testing, Deployment & Go-Live Readiness Lead functional testing, UAT, and business-validation activities. Develop test scenarios, test cases, expected results, and acceptance criteria. Support training and business readiness activities. Participate in cutover planning and deployment readiness. Support post-go-live stabilization and optimization. Complex Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Diagnose complex issues involving business-process gaps, D365 configuration, standard application behavior, data quality, integrations, and custom development. Drive resolution through solution design, configuration, process optimization, and adoption of standard D365 functionality. Coordinate with implementation partners, developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to resolve functional issues. Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve Finance processes. Functional Leadership & Governance Act as a trusted D365 advisor to Finance leadership, controllers, accountants, and business stakeholders. Present solution alternatives, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to support business decision-making. Provide functional oversight and governance for D365 Finance changes. Mentor Business Analysts and other team members on D365 Finance functionality and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. 6–7+ years of experience across ERP systems, business systems, Finance technology, and/or business-process transformation. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM). Deep functional understanding of core Finance processes, including GL, AP, AR, Cash & Bank Management, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting. Minimum of 2 end-to-end D365 F&SCM implementations. Demonstrated experience across the implementation lifecycle, including: Discovery Fit-to-standard / fit-gap Functional design Configuration Testing and UAT Deployment Post-go-live support and optimization Strong understanding of Finance integrations and dependencies across Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, and related functions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to challenge unnecessary customization and recommend practical solutions using standard D365 capabilities.
