Lead Functional Consultant, Microsoft D365 F&SCM Supply Chain📍 Location: Oviedo, Florida🏢 Work Arrangement: Hybrid💼 Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent✈️ Travel: Up to 25%$120K - $140KThe OpportunityWe are seeking a Lead Functional Consultant specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management, with a primary focus on Supply Chain Management.This senior individual-contributor role will lead the functional design, configuration, optimization, and ongoing evolution of D365 Supply Chain solutions. The consultant will partner closely with supply chain stakeholders, implementation consultants, internal development resources, and data and reporting teams to translate complex operational requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.The ideal candidate combines deep D365 Supply Chain expertise with strong business-process knowledge and a practical, configure-before-customize mindset.What You’ll DoLead current-state and future-state analysis across procurement, purchasing, inventory, warehouse management, planning, replenishment, product management, and order fulfillment.Translate complex operational requirements into functional D365 F&SCM solution designs.Lead fit-to-standard and fit-gap assessments.Evaluate whether requirements can be addressed through standard functionality, system configuration, workflows, or business-process changes.Assess cross-functional impacts across Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Procurement, Production, projects, data, and reporting.Develop functional requirements, process flows, configuration specifications, solution-design documentation, and decision records.Configure applicable D365 Supply Chain functionality across procurement, inventory, warehousing, planning, product management, and fulfillment.Demonstrate standard product capabilities and recommend practical configuration alternatives.Review proposed customizations and challenge unnecessary development when standard functionality or process redesign can meet the need.Evaluate new D365 Supply Chain releases and recommend capabilities that can reduce manual work or replace existing customizations.Lead workshops, fit-gap sessions, solution demonstrations, and functional design reviews.Partner with implementation consultants throughout discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.Provide developers with clear requirements, business justification, expected behavior, dependencies, and acceptance criteria when development is necessary.Lead functional testing, business validation, user acceptance testing readiness, training support, cutover preparation, and post-go-live stabilization.Troubleshoot complex issues involving inventory, warehousing, procurement, planning, fulfillment, integrations, data, and cross-module dependencies.Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve supply chain processes using existing D365 capabilities.Serve as a trusted D365 Supply Chain advisor to process owners, operational leaders, warehouse teams, procurement stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and technology partners.Provide functional governance and mentor Business Analysts and other team members.What We’re Looking ForApproximately 6 to 7 years of relevant ERP, supply chain systems, business-process, or D365 experience.Significant hands-on functional experience with Microsoft D365 Supply Chain Management.At least two end-to-end D365 F&SCM implementations.Deep knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory, warehouse management, planning, replenishment, product information management, and order fulfillment.Experience leading significant portions of the implementation lifecycle, including discovery, fit-to-standard analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live optimization.Strong knowledge of integrations between Supply Chain and Finance, Sales, Procurement, Production, projects, data, and reporting.Strong workshop facilitation, requirements analysis, solution evaluation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.Why This Role Stands OutServe as the lead functional voice for a major D365 Supply Chain environment.Influence solution design and long-term product direction.Work across business operations, technology, data, and implementation teams.Help shape scalable solutions while reducing unnecessary customization.Operate as a senior functional leader without direct people-management responsibility.Additional DetailsThe position follows a hybrid work model based in Oviedo, Florida.
