LOCATION: Shenzhen, ChinaHere are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:Concept Development & Design VisionDrive early-stage exploration (sketches, 3D models, prototypes) to shape program direction.Translate consumer insights into compelling concepts.Deliver clear design story telling to align stakeholders.Form Development & CraftsmanshipRefine 3D forms for world-class aesthetics and usability.Balance design intent with engineering to create production-ready CAD.Evaluate prototypes with decisive feedback.Elevate craftsmanship in all tactile details.Execution & DFMApply DFM principles to production.Resolve tooling challenges with tooling engineers.Master materials including plastics, metals, glass, and soft goods, etc.Knowhow to balance the cost and design.Research & InnovationExplore new trends, materials, and processes to advance design capability.Partner with global teams and suppliers to integrate innovation into future pipelines.Lead experimentation that informs both concept feasibility and long-term strategy.Collaboration & LeadershipPartner with global design teams to ensure seamless integration of form, finish, and brand language.Collaborate cross-functionally to align design with business goals.Design Excellence ManagementConduct onsite sample reviews at major project milestones and drive solutions directly with supplier or engineer teams.Collaborate globally to align design targets and ensure they are met within project timelines.Program managementLead the end-to-end execution of a design program, from initial concept through to final manufacturing.Supplier managementDevelop a comprehensive design supplier system in collaboration with top management and the CMF team.You are Expected:Experience: 8+ years in Industrial Design, with a proven track record of taking products from concept through mass production.Languages: English and Mandarin. Fluent/Native.Core Design & Technical Skills:Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).3D modeling: Rhino and SolidWorks.Visual storytelling (KeyShot, Illustrator, Photoshop)Deep knowledge of DFM and manufacture.Professional & Behavioral Competencies:Strategic thinker with a systems-level approach to designResilient to outstanding design and user experience.A passion for precision craftsmanship.Strong communicator to influence global teams and suppliers.Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Education/Certifications/AffiliationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree or above in Industrial Design.Travel RequirementsBe flexible for domestic and international travel.
