We work with curious individuals who recognise that engaging with AI in a hands-on manner unlocks what they can achieve, in their roles, their ventures, and their lives.Day Zero helps teams, founders, and communities learn about and adopt AI with confidence through beginner-friendly, practical workshops. In our flagship vibecoding workshop, everyone leaves with a live, deployed working product. We've taken 13-year-olds from idea to revenue-generating product, and 85-year-olds have published their first web apps. We've designed workshops for corporate teams on AI training that fits real-world workflows, existing tools, security restrictions, and skill levels.Founded by alumni of Klook and Entrepreneurs First, we've worked with individuals from top firms like JPMorgan, MTR, Oxfam, Lululemon, and Uber; given talks at chambers of commerce, universities, and schools; and run corporate training for SMEs through to global brands and listed companies. We're a small, fast-moving team that is proud to be playing a role in keeping Hong Kong and its talented individuals inspired and competitive. We’re looking for people who want to do the same.The RoleWe're looking for a Lead Instructor to facilitate Day Zero's workshops. You care deeply about the impact of AI and the future of work and productivity, and want to have a direct impact on people looking to upskill and build confidence in this rapidly changing environment.You'll be customer-facing, able to explain complex technical ideas simply, and comfortable troubleshooting when students get stuck. You don't need formal teaching experience, but you should have the confidence and presence to command a room of students from casual learners to senior executives: patient, approachable, adaptable and able to think creatively on the spot. In most instances, you will be supported by a co-facilitator. This is primarily a teaching and facilitation role. You will own the technical narrative end-to-end during workshops (AI best practices, hosting, database and deployment basics, etc. where relevant), with a few hours of workshop preparation time baked into the overall time commitment.What You’ll DoLead the delivery of our workshops (typically 2–4 hours, in person, weekdays; cohort up to 12 participants).Explain full-stack application and AI concepts in plain language for non-technical audiences (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, APIs, simple agents/RAG, hosting).Troubleshoot live during sessions: authentication issues, API keys, deployment hiccups, AI tooling best practices.Provide credible, on-the-spot answers to participant questions; suggest thoughtful next steps for teams based on what you observe.Occasionally advise on curriculum flow and technical coherence (no heavy content production expected).Ensure students leave with a deployed project and the confidence to keep building.Must‑HavesProactive and high ownership; takes full responsibility for session outcomes.Strong understanding of how AI works, with hands-on software implementation experience or a computer science degree (or related technical training).Actively uses AI tools; keeps up with trends and enjoys experimenting with new tools.Confident, clear communicator who can simplify complex ideas for non‑technical audiences.Comfortable in customer‑facing in corporate settings; presentable, authoritative, and approachable.
