2nd Shift Lead CNC MachinistLocation: Longmont, COShift: 2nd Shift - Monday-ThursdayPay: $40–$50/hour, depending on experienceEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the OpportunityIndustrial Talent Group is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Lead CNC Machinist for a growing precision manufacturing operation supporting complex aerospace, defense, and high-tolerance components.This is an excellent opportunity for a strong machinist who enjoys being hands-on but is also ready to take ownership of a shift, support other machinists, troubleshoot difficult jobs, and help keep production moving.The ideal candidate is highly experienced with CNC machining, setups, troubleshooting, and working from complex prints and tight tolerances.What You'll Be DoingLead and support CNC machining operations during 2nd shiftProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to machinistsPerform complex CNC setups and prove-outsMastercam programming experience!Troubleshoot tooling, work holding, offsets, programs, and machining issuesWork with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC equipmentAssist with optimizing machining processes, cycle times, and tool lifeRead and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and specificationsMachine tight-tolerance components for aerospace and other demanding industriesVerify parts using precision measuring equipmentHelp maintain quality and production standards throughout the shiftCommunicate issues, priorities, and production status with management and other shiftsMentor and develop less-experienced machinistsWhat We're Looking For5+ years of CNC machining experience preferredStrong setup and troubleshooting experienceMastercam programming experienceExperience with multi-axis CNC machiningAbility to independently take a job from setup through successful productionStrong understanding of tooling, speeds and feeds, workholding, and machining strategyExperience machining tight-tolerance componentsStrong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledgeExperience with aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-precision manufacturing strongly preferredPrevious lead or mentoring experience is preferredCompensation$40–$50/hour, depending on experience.This position is ideal for a high-level machinist who wants to remain hands-on while stepping into a leadership role on 2nd shift.Interested?
