Join a business with deep technical roots, where your voice is heard, your impact is visible, and your career is part of a legacy of excellence.YOUR ROLEAs Lead Mechanical Engineer you willMechanical System Design & EngineeringLead the design and development of mechanical systems including:Piping SystemsHVAC SystemsRotating EquipmentStatic EquipmentReview and approve engineering calculations, technical specifications, material selections, and design drawings.Ensure compliance with relevant standards including ASME, API, ISO, and client specifications.Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.Project Planning & ExecutionPlan and manage all mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.Develop engineering schedules and resource plans aligned with project objectives.Support Project Managers and Project Directors in achieving project milestones, budgets, and quality requirements.Monitor engineering progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.Procurement & Vendor ManagementPrepare and approve technical requisitions for mechanical equipment and materials.Evaluate vendor proposals and participate in technical bid evaluations and negotiations.Review vendor documentation and oversee supplier inspections.Ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment to support project schedules.Construction, Commissioning & Site SupportProvide technical leadership during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.Support site teams in resolving mechanical engineering issues.Verify installations comply with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.HSE & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure adherence to company HSE policies and applicable industry regulations.Lead safety reviews, risk assessments, and design safety initiatives.Promote a strong safety culture across project teams.Quality Assurance & Continuous ImprovementEstablish and maintain quality control processes for mechanical engineering deliverables.Conduct regular design reviews and technical audits.Drive innovation, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and designers.Conduct performance evaluations and identify development opportunities.Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance engineering culture.Stakeholder ManagementAct as the focal point for all mechanical engineering matters.Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, vendors, project teams, and senior management.Provide regular updates on engineering progress, challenges, risks, and solutions.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREducation / Certifications / LicensesBachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperienceMinimum 15 years of mechanical engineering experience within Oil & Gas EPC Projects, Power Generation, Industrial Plants, Marine Infrastructure, Civil Construction ProjectsMinimum 5 years in a lead or managerial engineering position managing multidisciplinary teams and projects.Skills and CompetenciesStrong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems, and equipment.Extensive experience with Rotating Equipment, Static Equipment, Piping Systems, HVAC SystemsThorough understanding of ASME, API, ISO, and relevant industry regulations.Proficiency in engineering and analysis software including SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD, PrimaveraStrong project planning, budgeting, and execution capabilities.WHAT WE OFFERThe chance to contribute to some of UAE’s Oil and Gas EPC Mega projects.A collaborative, supportive environment that values innovation and excellence.Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.Competitive salary and benefits package.Ready to be part of our team?If you’re inspired by what you’ve read and believe you’re the right fit, we’d love to hear from you.Join Target Engineering and Construction Co.
