Lead Mechanical Engineer – Data CentresAn excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading international consultancy, based in their Frankfurt team and working on Mission Critical Facilities and Data Centre projects.

Location: Frankfurt, Germany.Salary: €70,000 - €90,000 basic (experience dependent)Job Description:The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a leading international consultancy, who are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their Mission Critical Facilities team.Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:Managing and delivering mechanical engineering work packages across multiple Data Centre and Mission Critical Facility projects.Developing mechanical designs from concept through to detailed and working documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant German and international codes and standards.Designing and coordinating mechanical systems for Data Centres, including HVAC, cooling, ventilation and associated building services.Identifying project scope, design requirements and management objectives, while ensuring the quality and timely delivery of technical documentation.Preparing technical specifications, reports, calculations and design documentation for clients, contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities.Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to resolve technical interfaces, design risks and project challenges.Supporting Project Managers with project cost reviews, risk assessments and technical decision-making.Reviewing contractor and vendor proposals, pre-qualifications and technical submissions, providing recommendations to clients where required.Representing the consultancy during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), site testing and commissioning activities.Supporting Brownfield Data Centre projects, including risk assessments, technical surveys, operational assessments and testing and commissioning within live facilities.Maintaining strong relationships with vendors, contractors and clients while supporting the continuous development of mechanical engineering standards and processes.Providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing to less experienced engineers within the team.Qualifications & Experience required:Degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.At least 5 years' relevant experience in mechanical engineering design, installation or project delivery.Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, ideally including HVAC, cooling and ventilation systems.Experience working on Data Centre, Mission Critical, High-Tech or other technically complex projects would be highly advantageous.Good understanding of standard practices within the design and construction industry.Experience delivering mechanical engineering packages from concept through to detailed design and/or construction.Experience working with contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders, including involvement in tender processes and technical evaluations.Strong communication and coordination skills in English essential, with German advantageous.Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy would be advantageous.A proactive, entrepreneurial and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively across international project teams.PLEASE NOTEGerman and English language are a must for this role.
