Lead Mechanical Engineer

Brodeen Engineering is a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Contractor delivering mechanical scopes throughout Ireland and Europe. Our headquarters are based in Tipperary Town. Due to increased organic growth, we are looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead Brodeen's Engineering Department. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the technical leadership and engineering execution of mechanical engineering and pipework projects undertaken by Brodeen Engineering.Key Responsibilities✅ Lead the mechanical engineering team across multiple projects.✅ Provide technical guidance and mentoring to a team of Engineers.✅ Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements and applicable standards.✅ Review and approve engineering designs, drawings and technical submissions.✅ Ensure Fabrication drawings and installation packages are issued for fabrication on time.✅ Support tendering and estimating activities where applicable.✅ Co-Ordination with BIM team as required.✅ Oversee and lead procurement of project materials and management of subcontractors.✅ Support commercial negotiations where required.✅ Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.✅ Oversee Engineering Support for Site installation. ✅ Attend client, design and progress meetings.Essential Criteria✅ 5+ Years Experience in a similar role.✅ Relevant 3rd level degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or relevant sector.✅ Experience in the Data Centre Market in piping systems, stainless steel and carbon steel.✅ Experience in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD are an advantage.
