Apply & track with Apply EdgeLead Nurse – OPD InstituteLocation: Dubai, UAEDepartment: Outpatient Department (OPD)Reporting to: Deputy Chief Nursing Officer / Institute Clinical DirectorAbout the RoleKing’s College Hospital London Dubai is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Nurse – OPD Institute to provide expert clinical leadership and operational oversight across the designated outpatient services.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-centred care, while leading the nursing team and supporting the Institute Clinical Director and Practice Manager in achieving clinical, operational and patient experience objectives. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide visible and expert clinical nursing leadership across the OPD.Oversee day-to-day nursing operations, clinic readiness, patient flow and staff deployment.Support nurses with complex clinical assessments and decision-making.Ensure nursing practice complies with evidence-based guidelines, hospital standards, DHA requirements and JCI/JCIA standards.Lead clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and clinical risk management.Promote a strong culture of patient safety, clinical excellence and professional accountability.Support the development of clinical protocols, care pathways and SOPs.Lead, motivate and develop the nursing team.Coordinate staffing levels and skill mix across outpatient clinics.Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisals and staff development.Monitor patient experience, complaints and clinical incidents and contribute to appropriate action plans.Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with CERNER EMR and DHA requirements.Manage OPD consumables, equipment and resources effectively.Participate in hospital-wide nursing initiatives, committees, audits and quality improvement programmes. Candidate RequirementsBSc Nursing or equivalent – minimum requirement.Postgraduate qualification in nursing leadership, clinical nursing or healthcare management is desirable.Minimum 7 years' post-registration clinical nursing experience.At least 2 years' experience in a senior nursing position within an outpatient, ambulatory or clinical institute setting.Demonstrable experience in clinical leadership, team management and quality improvement.Strong knowledge of DHA regulations and JCI/JCIA accreditation standards.Experience working with electronic medical records; CERNER experience is desirable.Current and valid DHA nursing licence or eligibility for DHA registration.Resuscitation certification appropriate to the specialty.Evidence of ongoing CPD.Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills; Arabic is advantageous.Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder-management abilities.Ability to lead and develop diverse, multicultural nursing teams.
